What's Femdom all about and what's in it for me?

In human society men are thought to be the dominant sex, they may be stronger physically but in other areas women have traditionally been stronger, mentally, socially and in the bedroom. It's no surprise then that many men enjoy sex from the bottom, this is quite normal but also shows a submissive side to their sexuality. Femdom is an extension of this, and is essentially a man's desire to submit to a woman. Perhaps starting with sex with the woman on top, then being tied down while she rides him, moving on to buying leather underwear, handcuffs, Femdom books and so on. Once started the desire will never go away and in my slave's case has increased with age. This desire to submit can manifest itself in many forms, CP, humiliation, forced feminisation etc each signifing a deep-seated need to submit to female authority. Because female supremacy, for many, has roots in sex, straight men don't tend to want to have mixed scenes involving male doms, being whacked by a male dom would be unthinkable to my slave. This is why I started this group and there exists a separate "Femdom" scene outside the general BDSM scene, this doesn't mean we don't have male dom/female sub friends or enjoy visiting general BDSM clubs, its just that we prefer to indulge in deeper scenes in a purely Femdom environment.

Femdom imagery and literature is mainly produced by men and shows mostly what they fantasise about, its helpful to understand what's behind it and perhaps realise that there can be a large fantasy/reality gap. Religion and strict upbringings have made some think it is not normal, kinky, perverted and immoral - although I have never met a woman who thinks its morally wrong for her to have own way!

So what's in it for the Ladies?

Understanding that my man wants to be submissive to me is very liberating. Femdom for me is not just about leather and whips, thats only part of it - and in many ways his fantasy, its also about getting the chores done without a row, being able to make my own mind up, take decisions and have my own way. In a male world where women have been brought up to believe they can't take charge its not always as easy as it sounds. Undertanding he wants to submit to me sexually means I can have the kind of sex I want or a massage or pedicure when I want, all I need to do is put on a strict voice or grab his nipples and he immediately becomes submissive. Its incredibly liberating. If I take it further, put on a leather dress or pick up a crop, he will do anything for me. At parties or at OWK going to the bar and being served first is something I think any woman would appreciate as well as at home having doors opened for you, being treated like a Lady, listened to and having your opinions taken seriously. The lifestyle leads to a very close and loving relationship with fewer rows and great sex, his complete submission and devotion to me leads to great security, I know he's not going stray.

To take this further we try, when we can, to get into greater DS headspace (S&M headspace is about something different endorphins and out of mind experiences), which is an incredible mind altering state, which you can really only find out for yourself. I think the best description is a total focus on what you are doing (caning or sex) but with a clear awareness of your surroundings, I can do what I want with no subconscious inhibitions or cares but at the same time remain very focused.
